Antonio Sabàto Jr., an Italian immigrant model and actor, told People Magazine Saturday that he will speak at the RNC on Tuesday night. “I will discuss my frustration and fear of how things are now, and how we need the kind of change Trump can bring,” he said.

“I have never been a Republican or Democrat. I am an American,” Sabato Jr. said on supporting Donald Trump. The former Calvin Klein model is passionate about improving life in America and around the world.

The 44-year-old, who became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1996, has been talking about social, economic and financial issues with Donald Trump for the past year. He was honored when Trump’s campaign asked him to speak during the Republican National Convention, which opens Monday in Cleveland.

“It is refreshing to have a candidate like Trump who is so honest about his feelings because he speaks for many of us when he says we are in a bad place,” Sabato, Jr. said.

“I used to hang out in Nice in the summer, and now all of Europe has changed,” says Sabato Jr. who lives in Los Angeles and is active on social media. “We need a straight-to-the-point person like Trump to give us a fresh start.” Born in Rome, the entertainer – who moved to the U.S in 1985 – says he is angry about terrorism and violence in general. He is also not the only actor set to appear on Trump’s behalf at the RNC.
