As reported this morning, President Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama will be voting for Donald Trump this November. Citing reasons of the FBI’s failure to indict Hillary Clinton and his killing of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi, the President’s former best man at his wedding will be returning to the U.S. to vote to “make America great again.”
However, Malik isn’t the only Obama relative going against the grain. While this other relative is a bit more far removed, he contrasts ideologically in every way: Tea Party movement-aligned activist and physician Milton Wolf.
Wolf is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist and is President Barack Obama’s second cousin, once removed. Obama and Wolf are related through Thomas Creekmore McCurry (1850–1939), President Obama’s great-great-grandfather, and Wolf’s great-grandfather. Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, was Wolf’s mother’s first cousin.
He is also regular columnist for The Washington Times and has made appearances as a conservative commentator on shows including Hannity, Fox & Friends, and The Rush Limbaugh Show. Clearly, he is not voting Hillary Clinton come November.
After a failed run for the Senate in Kansas, Wolf cited Ronald Reagan and Trump in an opinion column as examples of conservatives who fight the good fight for America and don’t give up.
“Our current political class has lost its way and Americans are in open revolt,” Wolf wrote in the column for The Buzz. “The rise of Donald Trump marks the unmistakable and utter repudiation of the politicians, in both parties, who have created this mess.”
