This past week the news was plagued with stories of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump supposedly kicking a baby out of his rally.
At the rally when the baby started crying Trump told the mother not to sweat it saying, “Don’t worry about that baby, I love babies,” he said.
As the crying continued, Trump then stated: “Actually, I was only kidding — you can get the baby out of here. … I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking.”
Devan Ebert, the mother of the baby joined Fox News on Monday to set the record straight. She defended Trump saying she wasn’t insulted by Trump’s remarks.
Ebert said she didn’t even hear Trump’s comments about her and her child, and only caught it when she saw it on the news after returning home.
Her reaction to the incident was “I laughed.”
