Former President Bill Clinton sent out a tweet Friday morning that probably made his wife jealous.

Bill Clinton, via his Twitter account, noted that Friday is the 25th anniversary of the day he was elected president of the United States 1992.

“Waking up this morning grateful for being elected 25 years ago today, alongside my friend Al Gore,” the 42nd president wrote. “Honored to have served our great country.”

Clinton’s wife, however, cannot say the same. In fact, this coming Wednesday will mark the one-year anniversary of her loss in the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. She also launched a White House bid in 2008 but lost in the Democratic primary to Barack Obama.

Bill Clinton was a major supporter of his wife’s campaigns and probably drew more crowds on the campaign trail than she did. He held several events and fundraisers for Hillary Clinton across the country, but his sexual indiscretions came back to bite them both.

During one presidential debate, in particular, Donald Trump invited four women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual abuse — Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Kathy Shelton — to attend the televised event.

Clinton was impeached in 1998 after he was caught lying about an affair he had with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

After his trial concluded, President Clinton said he was “profoundly sorry” for the burden his behavior imposed on Congress and the American people.
