Last week we posted a story about how Donald Trump sent his private plane to pick up a squad of marines to get them home to their families back in 1991. Well in 2015, Trump had done another honorable deed that went under the media radar.
In August 2015, Andrew Ten, a child at age 3, arrived to New York on aTuesday morning with his parents to seek medical attention. They were accompanied by three nurses who attend to him around the clock due to his critical illness. However, they did not arrive to New York on a commercial flight, since they could not bring aboard Andrew’s oxygen tank, suction machine, breathing bag and adrenaline syringe due to regulations.
The family arrived on Trump’s private Boeing 727. Trump made his plane available to the family to fly from Los Angeles to New York after the boy’s parents, Judy and Harold Ten, called Trump and told him of their dire situation. “Mr. Trump did not hesitate when we called him up. He said ‘yes, I’ll send my plane out,’” 29-year-old Harold Ten had recalled to reporters.
When Harold was asked why he thought Trump made his private jet available, Ten replied, “Because he is a good man. He has three children of his own and he knows what being a parent is all about.”
Regardless of one’s political opinion of Trump, there is no denying the Republican candidate is a truly upstanding human being who cares about people. He’s not just a presidential candidate or business mogul; he’s a father and he’s an American.
