During a campaign stop at the University of South Florida on Tuesday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton accused her Republican rival Donald Trump insulting veterans throughout his campaign. Clinton particularly highlights Trump’s dispute with the Khan family, claiming it was downright degrading to the late Purple Heart recipient Capt. Humayun Khan.
“His whole campaign has been one long insult to all those who’ve worn the uniform to protect our most cherished American values,” Clinton said. “And a man who is so wrong about our veterans isn’t right to serve as our commander in chief… He says he has a secret plan to defeat ISIS, but the secret is he has no plan.”
“He is temperamentally unfit and totally unqualified to be president of the United States,” Clinton affirmed to her listening audience. However, Clinton fails to mention her own foreign policy mishap with Benghazi, or her own national security mess-up with her private email server being at risk during her tenure as secretary of state.
Clinton has no problem deeming Trump’s disqualifications, yet fails to pinpoint her own.
