Former President Barack Obama is in celebration mode, as he shot out a Twitter post Wednesday morning, congratulating the two Democratic gubernatorial candidates on their wins in New Jersey and Virginia Tuesday night.

Democrat Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam won the governor’s race in Virginia, and Democrat Phil Murphy won the governor’s race in New Jersey.

“This is what happens when the people vote. Congrats @RalphNortham and @PhilMurphyNJ . And congratulations to all the victors in state legislative, county and mayors’ races. Every office in a democracy counts!” Obama tweeted Wednesday morning.

DML News CEO Dennis Michael Lynch hit back with a reply to Obama, tweeting, “You remain as clueless out of office and you were during the 8yrs in it. Voter turnout all time lows. Lets see what happens when it matters. Meanwhile, you keep giving those mega-$$ speeches to the people u sold us out to.”
