Early Thursday morning, the airline EgyptAir reported a plane carrying 66 passengers from Paris to Cairo unexpectedly crashed into the Mediterranean Sea. There was no SOS or emergency distress signal sent out from the plane, but apparently Greek air traffic control attempted to contact the plan when it flew over Greece’s airspace. They received no response. When the plane reached Cairo airspace, it swerved sharply then plunged from 37,000 feet into the Mediterranean. “The cause behind the disappearance is more likely terrorism than a technical issue,” Egypt’s civil aviation minister says.
Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump immediately took to Twitter to post his response and reaction to the news, also believing the terrorist attack option is the likely factor in the plane’s demise. While Trump was immediate in reacting and commenting his belief as leader on the crash, Hillary Clinton has remain mum on the subject with “no comment.” It’s clear Hillary follows the same path as President Obama in these situations, refusing to call them acts of terror. If it turns out to be a terrorist attack as evidence is pointing towards, Hillary’s statement will probably way more “politically correct” than Trump’s firm response.
