Tea Party conservative and former 2012 presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is joining Donald Trump’s Evangelical Executive Advisory Board, Bachmann and Trump’s campaign announced Tuesday night.
The board will “provide advisory support to Mr. Trump on those issues important to Evangelicals and other people of the faith in America,” the campaign said in a statement. “The executive board members will convene on a regular basis,” the statement added.
The former House representative from Minnesota joins 20 others — including Jerry Falwell Jr. — on the board. The campaign added that certain members of the board were “solely responsible” for Trump’s private meeting with Christian leaders in New York City on Tuesday, but did not clarify which members those were.
Bachmann has yet to endorse a candidate in the 2016 election, though it will likely be Trump considering the new job offer.
