Allegations in a brand new book by a former secret service agent who served on President Clinton’s security staff could be a serious threat to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Scheduled for release on June 28, pre-orders have already shot the book to #1 on Amazon’s best-seller list.
Gary Byrne, a 29-year veteran of the military and federal law enforcement, was posted just outside the oval office during Bill Clinton’s presidency, and says, “What I saw in the 1990’s sickened me.” Now his scathing tell-all book portrays Hillary as “erratic, uncontrollable and occasionally violent”. He writes that she can be friendly one moment, then raging the next, and claims she often screamed obscenities at her husband, White House staff and secret service personnel.
It had gotten so bad that Secret Service had even discussed among themselves the possibility that they may have to protect the President from his own wife. Byrne writes about arriving for work one day in 1995 after a loud fight between the Clintons from the night before, finding a blue vase “smashed to bits” and Bill with a black eye. At one point, Hillary Clinton tried to have the Secret Service banned from the White House.
Byrne also claims that he interrupted the president’s “sexual shenanigans” in the White House in one incident where the woman was not Monica Lewinsky, and was subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury during the investigation of the Lewinsky affair.
The book is titled “Crisis of Character: A White House Secret Service Officer Discloses his Firsthand Experience with Hillary, Bill, and How They Operate.” The Clinton campaign has downplayed the book, claiming he is simply trying to “cash in” on the election cycle with nonsense.
In an interview with CNN, Donald Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, said, “The issue of temperament is more a problem for Hillary Clinton. I don’t recall Mr. Trump ever screaming at the Secret Service, calling them pigs, throwing vases across the room and clawing the face of his spouse, which Hillary Clinton has been reported to do.”
