“You own his politics,” Veteran Republican strategist Rick Wilson wrote in a column for Heatstreet to the GOP endorsements for Donald Trump. “You own the racial animus that started out as a bug, became a feature and is now the defining characteristic of his campaign. You own every crazy, vile chunk of word vomit that spews from his mouth.”

Wilson wrote this op-ed in response to Trump’s ongoing dilemma with Judge Gonzalo Curiel. While only one left wing nut has come out in support of Trump’s fight, most of the GOP has turned their back on Trump over the comments, including Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, Sen. Bob Corker, and possible VP choice Newt Gingrich.

Trump responded to Gingrich’s disapproval, calling Trump’s verbal battle against Curiel “inexcusable” and not representative of the GOP party. “I was surprised at Newt. I thought it was inappropriate, what he said,” Trump stated to the press.

With the Trump University case snowballing into an avalanche of political correctness and in-fighting, conservatives such as Wilson are calling on the GOP to try and control Trump, believing he is alienating the Latino vote.

“America is changing. When Ronald Reagan was elected, 84% of the electorate was white,” McConnell said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “This November, 70% will be. It’s a big mistake for our party to write off Latino Americans. And they’re an important part of the country and soon to be the largest minority group in the country. I hope he’ll change his direction on that.”
