A New York high school teacher has landed in hot water after calling students who support Republican nominee Donald Trump racist in a Facebook post.

Smithtown High School West officials say Veronica Welsh, a world language teacher, has been “administratively reassigned” after the uproar over her Facebook post on Wednesday.   The details of her “reassignment” are not provided, but she was not fired.

Her Facebook post on September 21 (which has since been deleted) said: “This week is Spirit Week at Smithtown HS West. It’s easy to spot which students are racist by the Trump gear they’re sporting for USA today.”

This was not the first time she’d done it, however.  In May she posted, “I feel really **** when I see former students posting things on Facebook that are pro-Donald Trump.  I’m sorry for failing you at Smithtown High School West.  I should have done better.”

The school admitted her post was “inappropriate.”
