Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. With the summer season broaching, politics are about to get real nasty before the election in November. While Hillary Clinton’s attacks on Donald Trump have been the standard political jabs, Hillary on Thursday afternoon unleashed a flurry of sharp and aggressive attacks upon the presumptive GOP nominee in an interview with CNN on Wednesday. “I know how hard this job is, and I know that we need steadiness as well as strength and smarts in it, and I have concluded he is not qualified to be president of the United States,” Clinton said. She must have seen those new poll results…
Hillary went off a checklist of what she deemed Trump’s disqualifications: Trump’s attacks on British politicians, his wanting to talk to North Korea, his support for nuclear proliferation, his relationship with women, his opposition to NATO, his refusal on tax returns, and his proposed ban on Muslims. “So when you say you’re going to bar all Muslims, you’re sending evidence to the Muslim world, and you’re also sending a message to terrorists. … Donald Trump is essentially being used as a recruiter for more people to join the cause of terrorism,” Hillary exclaimed.
In terms of Trump’s attacks on her character and accusing Hillary of being an enabler, Hillary states she will not respond. “I know that’s exactly what he’s fishing for, and I’m not going to be responding,” she said. Hillary also dismissed Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders as irrelevant, claiming she will be the one to secure the nomination. “I will be the nominee for my party, Chris. That is already done, in effect. There is no way that I won’t be,” she told CNN correspondent Chris Cuomo.
Trump later responded to Hillary’s attack, which can be read here.
