Hungarian leader orders spy agencies to investigate George Soros

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has stepped up his campaign against globalist billionaire George Soros, instructing his intelligence services to investigate the Hungarian-born financier’s “empire.”

Hungary’s spy agencies are now evaluating efforts by Soros to have the country punished by the European Union for resisting its plans for a “mixed-population” continent, Orbán said in a recent interview. He predicted that Europe is set to be split between a “migrant-free zone” and those in the west who refuse calls to “haul” undocumented migrants away.

Hungarians are in the middle of a seven-week consultation involving a questionnaire from their government asking whether they support the “Soros plan”, which is described as a plot to flood Europe with migrants. Soros has pushed Europe to accept a million migrants per year and promoted the demolition of Hungary’s anti-migrant border fences.

With elections set to take place in April, Orbán has been blaming Soros, 87, for the migration crisis, which has brought a wave of crime and terrorism and turned European neighborhoods into no-go zones.

According to a report in Bloomberg, polls this week show that Orbán’s Fidesz party has increased its backing to 59 percent of decided voters. Such a lead over his contenders reflects the notion that prime minister’s focus on migration and anti-Soros billboards are helping his political campaign. The billboards were erected over the summer with a picture of Soros and a message asking Hungarians to “not let Soros have the last laugh.”

Soros, whose philanthropy has supported education and pro-democracy activism in Hungary since the 1980s, has hit back at Orbán, himself a former Soros scholar, accusing him of running a “mafia state.”
