It’s been a hard hitting week for presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. Media outlets have berated him for his refusal to release his tax returns, the Washington Post has accused him of impersonating a spokesman in a 1991 phone call, and critics far and wide are saying Trump will end up being bought and paid for by the donors he is now entertaining.
Ivanka Trump, the trusted adviser of the business mogul has spoken out against the media bashing in support of her father during an interview yesterday at the Forbes 4th Annual Women’s Summit in New York City. “He’s honest. With him, what you see is what you get – even if you don’t like the topic. I think people respect the fact that he is bold enough. That is something we have never seen in politics. He has elevated – he has created a dialogue around issues, which really is a powerful thing,” stated Ivanka.
When pressed on about Trump’s aggressive approach to politics, the 34-year-old mother of three added: “He has a pretty tough punch – but it’s almost always a counterpunch. If they hit him, he’s going to hit them back.”
Ivanka currently serves as Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization, which involves with all aspects of the company’s real estate and hotel management initiatives. It’s been rumored if Donald wins the presidency in November, Ivanka will fully takeover her father’s company.
