Like her or love her, you have to give Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway credit for having some of the best one-liners in Washington DC.
Conway, who was an instrumental player in getting Trump elected, often serves as a mouthpiece for the White House and the Trump administration, especially when facing brutally biased news outlets like CNN.
Conway was on fire Sunday during an appearance on CNN. The never shy Conway went head to head with Trump-hater, CNN host Brian Stelter.
During the interview, Stelter pointed out that Trump’s approval rating is “shocking low,” and then he said Trump is a real problem for the nation. He claimed that most Americans do not trust the president.
Conway hit back hard, but saying, “No, you got it wrong. You know what’s a problem for this nation… the fact that CNN used to be a place where people could tune in and get the news, but now all they get is spin and people’s opinions. And I think CNN should own it.”
She then reiterated something I have been telling my readers and viewers for months. Conway said it’s very profitable for news outlets to hate on Trump. She is correct. I’ve explained time and again about how much money these otherwise dying outlets are now making, and how their stocks have all skyrocketed since Trump took office.
Stelter pushed back and told Conway she and the president want a friendly media that doesn’t challenge the White House. “You want a media that’s like Fox News.” Conway whacked back by telling Stelter to stop being jealous of Fox News’ ratings.
Stelter never recovered. He tried to say CNN wasn’t anti-Trump, but pro-Truth. How hysterical is that comment? Brian, you’d be better off trying to sell us that the world is flat.
