Protesters at Donald Trump’s campaign rally in San Jose, California started off somewhat peaceful Thursday evening, but quickly escalated out of control after the rally inside By the time the rally had ended and the crowds started streaming out, the protesters were waiting for them, attacking, pushing, hitting… even egging some.
First, here’s what the mayor said about the rally…
The Associated Press reported on comments made by the MAYOR of San Jose:
“Our police officers have done an extremely courageous and professional job so far,” San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo said by phone.
The mayor, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, criticized Trump for coming to cities and igniting problems that local police departments had to deal with.
“At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Liccardo said.
Liccardo made no mention of the dozens of Trump supporters who were assaulted leaving his really though. One protester ran up to a young man and assaulted him on the side of his, causing blood to splatter.
