Another famous actress has made allegations against action star Steven Seagal, joining Portia de Rossi and Julianna Margulie in claiming the actor sexually harassed them. Jenny McCarthy says Seagal made a sexual request in 1995, when she auditioned for Under Siege 2.
Speaking to her fans via her Sirius XM radio show, McCarthy said she ended up alone in a room with Seagal. He asked her to sit next to him on a couch, which she would not do.
“He keeps bragging and bragging about himself, and watching out of one eye to see if I take the bait,” she told her audience. “So he says to me then, ‘You know, this part has nudity in it, and I can’t really tell what your body looks like in that dress you’re wearing'”
When McCarthy told Seagul she’d been under the impression there was no nudity in the project, Seagal allegedly told her “there is off-camera nudity,” and asked to see her breasts.
McCarthy said she left the audition, and that Seagal followed her, leveling a threat that she should not tell anyone about the incident, “or else.”
McCarthy said the encounter was “disheartening.” She reported it to her mom immediately, and told the same story to Movieline three-years later, in 1998.
Actress Eva LaRue, who starred on CSI: Miami and All My Children, has also made allegations against Seagal, stemming from an incident in 1990 in which they found themselves alone together. Seagal allegedly took most of his clothes off while encouraging her to sit next to him on a couch. She reported that she was not harmed physically or otherwise assaulted in the encounter.
de Rossi reported an incident relating to an audition with Seagal in a hotel room, taking to Twitter with accusations that Seagal wanted to see if they had any chemistry off-screen, and that he proceeded to unzip his pants.
Margulies said she’d also been lured to Seagal’s hotel room. The then 23-year-old actress was coerced into attending a late night meeting, under the impression that a female assistant would be there as well. She found herself alone with Seagal, who she says had a gun. She also said she was not raped or harmed.
