After an uproar on the first day of the GOP convention Monday, Donald Trump’s running mate is already stepping into his role, seeking to promote unity within the Republican Party.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence appeared at an American Conservative Union meeting in a Cleveland restaurant Tuesday as a surprise speaker.
He said Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton’s agenda has weakened America’s place in the world and stifled America’s economy… “so we must decide, here and now, that Hillary Clinton will never become president of the United States.”
Pence gave a passionate speech that concluded with a strong endorsement for Donald Trump as president.
Trump and Pence are scheduled to formally receive the nomination to represent the Republican Party on Tuesday evening.
