Dana White, an American businessman and the President of the mixed martial arts organization Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is endorsing Donald Trump for President. He will be speaking at the RNC this week and will voice his support for the GOP contender.
White has said he will vote for Trump just as Trump supported the UFC in its early days when few did. “He’s my guy,” White wrote about Trump to the Review-Journal. “We have been talking a lot.”
On social media, some people criticized White. Others said they value White for servicing a friend.
Controversy has also revolved around White, especially since making his endorsement of Trump public. A liberal political reporter, The Daily Beast’s Betsy Woodruff, is asserting Dana White’s endorsement of Donald Trump may hurt Trump because White has tweeted “sexist and violent threats at his critics.” However, White has no criminal history, and many of his tweets are seen as parodical humor.
