A female governor whose name was once tossed out as a possible VP for Trump won’t even attend his rally.
Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee, will be holding a campaign rally Tuesday evening at the Albuquerque Convention Center, but the New Mexico governor, Susana Martinez, won’t be there. She’s too busy.
“I’m the governor of New Mexico and I’m really focused on what’s going on here in New Mexico — just like the announcement we just did with 100 new high-tech and research jobs, improving the education for our kids, another job announcement tomorrow,” Martinez said. “Those are the things that I’m concentrating on and I’m going to keep concentrating on.”
Martinez is the chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association, and had endorsed Marco Rubio shortly before he dropped out of the race.
So far, she hasn’t said whether or not she will support Donald Trump, but she will not be attending his rally.
