Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is tapping into American roots and fans with the propsal of his theme idea for the RNC in July. Trump announced at a rally in Richmond, Virginia, Friday night that he’d like to set aside one evening at the Republican National Convention to honor American sports heroes, and thus would like to make it “sports themed.”

Trump has received support from several major sports figures throughout his presidential campaign, including former Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight, NFL quarterbacks Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger, and Jets owner Woody Johnson. Trump suggested the night could also include certain national figures, like NASCAR owner Brian France, who endorsed Trump back in February.

“I’m thinking about getting some of the great sports people I know, who like me a lot,” Trump told rally attendees. “We may call it ‘The Winners’ evening. Do we all love NASCAR? Because I do.

Trump has previously mentioned he would like to make the traditional Republican convention more grandeur and less boring as it was in 2012 for Mitt Romney.
