President Donald J. Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, says porn star Stormy Daniels is responsible for $20-million in damages for violating a nondisclosure agreement 20 times, according to The Washington Post.

From the Post: Cohen, through his limited liability corporation Essential Consultants, made the claim in papers his lawyer filed in federal court Friday. He also indicated in the filing that he would seek to force the dispute with Daniels, who alleges she was secretly paid to keep quiet about her affair with the president, out of the public eye and back into private arbitration.

In a separate filing, an attorney for Trump said he agrees with Cohen’s push to return the proceedings to private arbitration.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, in legal filings, Daniels said she slept with Trump in 2006 and that in 2016 she was paid $130,000 to stay silent about the affair.

The Daily Mail reports: Cohen … formed a limited liability corporation to strike the nondisclosure agreement with Daniels in 2016, just days before the presidential election, over her alleged affair with Trump.

Earlier on Friday, Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, hinted at a “cover-up,” and said Daniels’ accusations include offenses during Trump’s time in office.
