Active U.S. servicemembers say they favor Donald Trump for President of the United States over Hillary Clinton by a wide, 2-1 margin, according to a new survey by the Military Times.
In the survey of 1,915 active servicemembers, 49% backed Trump and only 21% backed Clinton, with 13% supporting Libertarian Gary Johnson.
More than 82 percent said the they are dissatisfied about Clinton as the Democratic nominee, with 30 percent pledging to vote for her despite their displeasure.
The survey, conducted July 5-8, elicited responses from 1,915 active-duty service members, reservists and National Guard personnel, all of them Military Times subscribers.
