Donald Trump Jr. went after the New York Post Friday morning over a story headline about his father, President Trump, and Sen. Al Franken.
On Thursday night, the president posted a statement on Twitter, condemning Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) after media personality Leeann Tweeden came forward with a report of sexual harassment and assault by Franken in 2006 and provided a photo to underscore the harassment.
“The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps? And to think that just last week he was lecturing anyone who would listen about sexual harassment and respect for women. Lesley Stahl tape?” Trump tweeted Thursday night.
The New York Post reported on Trump’s Twitter slam, with the headline: “Trump blasts ‘Al Frankenstien’ on Twitter over alleged groping.”
Donald Trump Jr. commented on the wording of the headline in his own tweet Friday morning, asking, “Is it still alleged when there is a picture?”
Franken finds himself in hot water over the new revelations and has apologized for his behavior, saying he will cooperate if an ethics investigation is launched.
