Former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus announced on Wednesday that he’s returning to his old job at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP in Wisconsin, and will also try his hand at professional speaking.
Priebus has been on vacation since being ousted from the White House by Trump after the pair’s relationship frayed when Trump hired controversial former communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Prior to his post in the administration, the Wisconsin native was chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2011 to 2017.
Michael Best managing partner David A. Krutz said Priebus would bring a “unique understanding of federal, state, and local issues to advise and counsel the firm and its clients.”
“In addition to joining Michael Best, Reince will also serve as chairman of the advisory board for Michael Best Strategies LLC, the firm’s government relations and public affairs group,” Krutz wrote in a statement.
Priebus’s professional speaking acumen is questionable, even though he was chief of staff and head of the Republican National Committee, but he apparently believes he can make a killing on the circuit, telling stories about Trump.
