On Wednesday, Trump revealed who he believes would best be fit to commission the ban on Muslim immigration and to head the studies of the immigration problem within the U.S. His choice is none of than former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
“We have to be extremely careful,” Trump said in a phone interview with Fox News. “In fact, I’m thinking about setting up a commission perhaps headed by Rudy Giuliani to take a very serious look at this problem. But this is a worldwide problem. And we have to be smart.”
While no public endorsements for Trump have been made by Giuliani, he did vote for the presumptive Republican nominee last month. Giuliani has a favorable track record as Mayor of New York, being accredited with cleaning up the streets of the city and handling the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
