Donald Trump announced Wednesday morning that he will be meeting with the National Rifle Association about ways to prevent people on the “no fly” list from purchasing guns.
Donald Trump is a staunch supporter of the second amendment, and has maintained that the U.S. needs better security measures in place to identify people who have ties to terror.
The subject of gun control has been thrown to the front lines since the Orlando terror attack.
Reportedly, the FBI, who had previously interviewed the gunman, Omar Mateen, had already removed him from their watch list, as they had deemed him not a threat. Thus, he was allowed to legally purchase firearms prior to the attack.
