President Trump’s third tweet published Thursday morning is sure to be the talk of the cable news shows.

After posting a threatening tweet Wednesday targeted at Russia in which he said the US would be launching a missile attack on Syria, Trump took a step back with his latest tweet.

He writes:
“Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”

Dennis Michael Lynch, CEO of DML News, tweeted back at the president:
“A strong leader doesn’t seek praise, he gives it. I don’t recall Reagan asking for thanks when the hostages arrived home from Iran. One day we will all look back on these tweets and even then, we shall scratch our heads and remain confused.”
