President Donald Trump is in the middle of a visit with world leaders in Asia, but he took the time to publish a Twitter post on Wednesday, in remembrance of his election victory one year ago today.
During the 2016 presidential campaign season, Trump’s Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, insulted Trump supporters by calling them “deplorables.”
Trump supporters turned the tables on detractors and gleefully adopted the term, wearing the label with pride and electing Trump president on Nov. 8, 2016.
“Congratulations to all of the ”DEPLORABLES” and the millions of people who gave us a MASSIVE (304-227) Electoral College landslide victory!” President Trump tweeted.

Meanwhile, defeated Hillary Clinton also acknowledged the anniversary of the election by promoting a “Nasty Women” group, who are touting her as the “first woman ever to win the popular vote.”
