President Trump sent out a statement on Twitter, in response to a major fire which broke out inside Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York Saturday afternoon.

The fire was reportedly located in an apartment on the 50th floor, and was reported to be worsening for several minutes, with flames seen shooting out the windows.

The NY Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire, but reported that one person was seriously injured.

President Trump commended the fire department, tweeting, “Fire at Trump Tower is out. Very confined (well built building). Firemen (and women) did a great job. THANK YOU!”
