President Donald J. Trump had a busy day of meetings and announcements Thursday, and shared a summary in a multitude of Twitter posts.

The president sent out a number of tweets, including a congratulatory message to the Houston Astros and the anticipated announcement of his selection for the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

In an early tweet, the president wrote: “Congratulations to the Houston Astros, 2017 #WorldSeries Champions.” His message included a video of the moment the Astro’s were announced champions.

In another set of tweets, the president addressed the diversity visa lottery program, which annually awards thousands of visas to immigrants who don’t have any specific requirements or skills. He included video’s of himself addressing the issue. President Trump tweeted: “I am calling on Congress to TERMINATE the diversity visa lottery program that presents significant vulnerabilities to our national security. Congress must end chain migration so that we can have a system that is SECURITY BASED! We need to make AMERICA SAFE!

His next set of tweets referenced Broadcom, a semiconductor company that will be bringing its headquarters back to the U.S. from Singapore, thereby infusing the U.S.with jobs and revenue. The president tweeted: “Today, we are thrilled to welcome Broadcom CEO Hock Tan to the WH to announce he is moving their HQ’s from Singapore back to the U.S.A. Broadcom’s move to America=$20 BILLION of annual rev into U.S.A., $3+ BILLION/yr. in research/engineering & $6 BILLION/yr. in manufacturing.”

His latest tweet referenced an announcement and included a video of the event. He wrote: “Today, it was my pleasure and great honor to announce my nomination of Jerome Powell to be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve.”
