President Trump blasted out a statement Thursday morning regarding Imran Awan, the former Pakistani IT aide who was hired by several congressional Democrats, including Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Awan and other Pakistani IT aides have been under investigation for months over concerns of alleged equipment theft, access to sensitive computer systems and much more.

This week it was reported that Awan is poised to strike a plea deal with prosecutors.

President Trump tweeted in response:

Our Justice Department must not let Awan & Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook. The Democrat I.T. scandal is a key to much of the corruption we see today. They want to make a “plea deal” to hide what is on their Server. Where is Server? Really bad!

The president also tweeted remarks regarding his upcoming meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan today:

Looking forward to seeing my friend Prime Minister @AbeShinzo of Japan at noon. Will be discussing North Korea and Trade.
