While the world is dealing with unruly protests and terrorist attacks, Barack Obama has been busy writing a paper. He technically just became the first sitting president to publish a “scholarly” article.
The article, titled “United States Health Care Reform: Progress to Date and Next Steps,” with “Barack Obama, JD” listed as the author, was published in the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association (known as JAMA) on July 11. Liberals on social media have been applauding the president, with the hashtag #ObamaJAMA circulating on trending timelines.
Basically, Obama is laying out how the next president could continue to improve health care. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton seems more in-tune with Obama’s health care policies, according to Obama himself, obviously. And of course, he says presidential candidate Donald Trump is not since he has vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act if elected.
For some reason, Obama felt the need to make that into a scholarly piece of work. Big whoop.
